Chairman and Directors of Tourist Hotel Corporation Appointed
PURSUANT to the Tourist Hotel Corporation Act 1955,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint
Duncan Sanford Cox, Esquire, of Auckland,
James Donald Swan, Esquire, of Rotorua,
Allan Meredith Satterthwaite, Esquire, of Christchurch,
and
Leonard Morton Wright, Esquire, of Dunedin,
To be directors of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New
Zealand, the terms of office of such directors to commence
on the 1st day of March 1956; and has also been pleased to
appoint
Robert Whiteford Marshall, Esquire, General Manager of
the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts,
To be the Chairman of the Corporation.

Appointment of Honorary Fishery Officer
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act
1946, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints
Edward William Fibbes, of Kaikoura,
To be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I
of the Fisheries Act 1908, such person to hold office until
the 31st day of March 1956.

Fees Payable for Certificates of Health or Freedom from Disease in Respect of the Export of Stock, Poultry, Hides, Skins, etc.

IT is hereby notified for public information that on and after the 1st day of April 1956 there shall be payable on the issue of
certificates of health or freedom from disease in respect of the export of the several classes of stock, poultry, hides, skins, etc.,
mentioned in the Schedule hereto the respective fees set opposite each class of stock or other goods in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
Class of Stock or Other Goods Fee for Export Certificate
Horses For one animal £2; for each animal after the first where not more than
four additional animals are examined at the same time and place and
on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, £1; for each
animal after the fifth examined at the same time and place and on
behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, 10s., with a
maximum fee for any one certificate of £10.
Cattle for breeding purposes For one animal £2; for each animal after the first where not more than
nineteen additional animals are examined at the same time and place
and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, £1; for
each additional animal after the twentieth examined at the same time
and place and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or
not, 4s. 6d.
Cattle for slaughter for food purposes For each animal not exceeding ten examined at the same time and place
and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, 9s.; with
a maximum fee of 25s.; for each animal after the tenth examined at
the same time and place and on behalf of the same person, whether the
owner or not, 4s. 6d., with a maximum fee for any one certificate of
£4 10s.
Swine for breeding purposes For one animal £1; for each animal after the first examined at the same
time and place and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or
not, 4s. 6d.
Swine for slaughter for food purposes For each animal not exceeding ten examined at the same time and place
and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, 2s. 3d.,
with a maximum fee of 13s. 6d.; for each animal after the tenth
examined at the same time and place and on behalf of the same person,
whether the owner or not, 1s. 6d., with a maximum fee for any one
certificate of £2 5s.
Sheep and goats for breeding purposes For one animal £1; for each animal after the first where not more than

on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, 4s. 6d.; for
each additional animal after the fifth examined at the same time and
place and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not,
2s. 3d., with a maximum fee for any one certificate of £10.

and on behalf of the same person, whether the owner or not, 2s. 3d.,
with a maximum fee of 13s. 6d.; for each additional animal after the
tenth examined at the same time and place and on behalf of the same
person, whether the owner or not, 1s. 6d., with a maximum fee for any
one certificate of £2 5s.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, poultry, and other birds For each original certificate, 10s.
Hides, skins, tallow, wool, casings, and meat (a) For each original certificate covering whole consignment, 2s. 6d.
products which have been processed at abattoir (b) When separate certificates are required for each package, cask, or
or meat export slaughterhouse parcel included in any one consignment a fee of 2s. 6d. shall be
payable for each ten or portion of ten such certificates.
Circus and other groups of performing animals For a certificate embracing the whole group, £5.
Fish and crayfish (a) For each original certificate covering whole consignment, £2.
(b) When separate certificates are required for each package, cask, or
parcel included in any one consignment a fee of 2s. 6d. shall be
payable for each ten or portion of ten such certificates.
