RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Workers’ Dwellings Loan 1955, of £6,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and all other powers (if any) enabling it, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on the Taranaki County Workers’ Dwellings Loan 1955, of £6,000, authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·038 pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Taranaki; and that such special rate shall be a recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 4th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council at its meeting held on the 14th day of July 1955 has resolved to prepare for the County of Rangitikei in the two sections described in the Schedule below a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Rangitikei County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County office, Marton, on or before 20 April 1956.
SCHEDULE
Scheme A. The Waiouru Township Section including land within a radius of one mile in the County of Rangitikei.
Scheme B. The section covering the balance of the County.

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING RATE
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for staff housing, such loan to be known as Staff Housing Loan 1955, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven two-hundredths of a penny (¹¹/₂₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Board held on 16 February 1956.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on and payment of the principal of a loan of £3,400 known as ‘Verran’s Corner Slip Loan 1955’, authorised to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council for the purpose of arresting slip which threatens Victoria Road at Verran’s Corner, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh of one penny (¹/₇d.) in the pound upon the rateable value based on the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Birkenhead and comprising the whole of the said Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
