A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 33:1 perches. Adjoining Section 181, and part 1, Section 183, Kaikoura Suburban. Situated in Block VIII, Mount Fyffe Survey District, Marlborough R.D. (S.O. 3797.) In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125495 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 10th day of December 1924 and published in Gazette, 11 December 1924, Vol. III, page 2898, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 1482, defining the middle line of a portion of the Wellington-Napier railway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring Land (County of Waimate, Waimate Acclimatisation District) to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT-WAIMATE COUNTY
ALL that area in Block XII, Nimrod Survey District, containing 45 acres, more or less, being parts Rural Sections 31932, 22851, and 27621, situated within 15 chains of the middle line of the Otaio River and being part of the land in Crown lease S.G.R. 322, registered in Volume 479, folio 10. Also all that area in Blocks XII and XVI, Nimrod Survey District, containing 483 acres, more or less, being parts Rural Sections 36228 and 38138, situated within 15 chains of the middle line of the Otaio River and being part of the land in Crown lease S.G.R. 288, registered in Volume 465, folio 71. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/277 deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red, and as may be further defined by the erection of white-painted posts.

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 78 acres 1 rood 15 perches, more or less, being part Section 57, closed road, and area adjacent thereto, Block III, Otago Peninsula Survey District, and part ocean bed adjoining Block III, Otago Peninsula Survey District, being all the land in Proclamations 6841 and 6857 dated 2 September 1955. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/191 deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red, and as may be further defined by the erection of white-painted posts.

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Act subject to the rights of the Maoris as contained in section 27 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1922.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area, being the whole of the lake known as Rotomahana, situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Ruawahia Survey District, and Blocks XII and XVI, Tarawera Survey District, in the County of Rotorua. As shown on the plan marked I.A. 52/76 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red, and as may be further defined by the erection of white-painted posts.
