Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the Warrant dated the 11th day of January 1949* which applies to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality with the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Makara and Hutt Counties—
All that area at Paremata and Mana consisting of those portions of roads hereinafter described:
(1) Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway No. 34 (all that portion commencing at a point 42 chains measured along the said State highway in a south-westerly direction from its junction with the Haywards-Paremata via Pahautanui Main Highway No. 574 and terminating at a point 72 chains measured along the said State highway in a northerly direction from the southern end of the bridge across the Porirua Harbour).
(2) Haywards-Paremata via Pahautanui Main Highway No. 574 (all that portion commencing at a point 18 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Seaview Road at Golden Gate and terminating at the end of the said main highway at Paremata).
(3) Seaview Road, Golden Gate.
(4) Bayview Road, Golden Gate.
(5) That portion of the old Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway at Paremata from its junction with the existing Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway No. 34 at the southern end of Paremata to its junction with the existing Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway No. 34 at the northern end of Paremata.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936
Pursuant to clause (26) of regulation 7, and clause (10) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Tail lamp lenses incorporating red reflectors fitted as standard equipment to Volkswagen vehicles and marked Hella K. 1546.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice of the following result of the election held on the 6th day of December 1955 by the fire insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Board for the Kaiapoi Fire District and the Fire Committee for the Rangiora Fire District
Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Thursday, the 19th day of January 1956 as the time, and the offices of the Canterbury Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, 137 Hereford Street, Christchurch, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect members to the Fire Board for the Kaiapoi Urban Fire District and the Fire Committee for the Rangiora Urban Fire District.

Social Security Amendment Act 1939—Maternity Notice
Pursuant to section 13 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that advice has been received from Leo Issie Phillips, M.B., Ch.B., of 34 Princes Street, Auckland C.1, that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity on the terms provided for in section 13 of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, and that consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services as if that Act had not been passed.
