SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD IN BLOCK XV, INVERCARGILL HUNDRED
NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 to carry out certain road works, and that for that purpose the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Southland County Council at Invercargill and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the Southland County Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Horowhenua County Council at its meeting held on the 9th day of November 1955 has resolved to prepare for the County of Horowhenua a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Horowhenua County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk, and delivered at the County Clerk’s Office, on or before the 21st day of February 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that by extraordinary resolution of the shareholders of Leonards Grocery Store Limited dated the 18th day of November 1955 it was resolved:
“(1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind-up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(2) That Mr P. C. Dewhurst, of Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

AUCKLAND HARBOUR BRIDGE AUTHORITY
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland Harbour Bridge Act 1950.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the formation and construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and its approaches, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited at the office of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority, which is situated on the Fifth Floor, Tasman Building, Anzac Avenue, Auckland, and they are open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority, Fifth Floor, Tasman Building, Anzac Avenue, Auckland.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1955, £37,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on a loan of £37,000, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under authority of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Counties Act 1920 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting staff houses and garages, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nought decimal three one one (0·311d.) of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully repaid.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 28th day of November 1955.
