ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 9th day of November 1955

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Ngunguru and Whananaki Cemeteries Order 1955.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1955.

  2. The Whangarei County Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the Ngunguru and Whananaki Cemeteries, being the areas described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of those cemeteries under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

  3. The Orders in Council dated the 10th day of October 1927,* delegating to the Whangarei County Council the powers of appointing and removing trustees for the said cemeteries, are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

NGUNGURU CEMETERY

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 1 acre 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section 7, Block III, Whangarei Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 85, folio 83, Auckland Registry.

WHANANAKI CEMETERY

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 10 acres, more or less, being Section 25, Block IX, Opua whanga Survey District.
