PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereafter, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 7 November 1955, amended the undermentioned standard specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 795: Concrete roofing tiles.
Amendment: No. 2, November 1955.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Franklin (Notice No. Ag. 5996)
PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following Special Order made by the Franklin County Council on the 31st day of October 1955.
SPECIAL ORDER
“THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of Special Order, that Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum) and Thorn apple or jimson weed (Datura stramonium), being plants mentioned in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, to be noxious weeds within the County of Franklin.”

Consent to the Consignment of Potatoes from the South Island to the North Island (Notice No. Ag. 5997)
PURSUANT to the Board of Trade (Potatoes) Regulations 1953, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture hereby
(1) Revokes consent to the consignment of potatoes given on the 5th day of July 1954, which was published in the Gazette of the 8th day of July 1954 at page 1118, in so far as it relates to the consignment of potatoes from any part of the South Island, other than Nelson, to the North Island.
(2) Consents to the consignment of potatoes from any part of the South Island to the North Island.
