3. For the purpose of taking evidence on the review of
   these tariff items the Board will hold a public inquiry com-
   mencing on Tuesday, 6 March 1956, at 10.30 a.m., in the
   Board Room, First Floor, Departmental Building, Stout
   Street, Wellington.

4. Any person who intends to tender evidence may obtain
   from the office of any Collector of Customs or from the
   undernamed the notes for the guidance of witnesses (2nd
   edition) which have been approved by the Board.

5. A typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered
   should be lodged with the undernamed on or before Tuesday,
   21 February 1956. Each statement will in general need to be
   presented under oath at the public inquiry by the person
   tendering it.

Amendment of Standard Specifications

Pursuant to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations
made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce,
on 27 October 1955, amended the undermentioned standard speci-
fications by the incorporation of the amendments shown hereunder:

Application for copies of the standard specifications so amended
should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers,
201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C.1. Copies of the
amendments will be supplied, free of charge, upon request.
