Revoking the Reservation Over Reserves in Wellington Land District

URSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over the lands described in the Schedule hereto as reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

P
URSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply.

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

“Pile Driving” Vehicles Exempted from Annual Licence Fees

P
URSUANT to paragraph (n) of the First Schedule to the Motor Vehicles (Licensing Fees Exemption) Regulations 1948,* any motor vehicle designed and used on the road exclusively for carrying pile-driving apparatus shall be exempt from the payment of annual licence fees under Part II of the Transport Act 1949.

Revoking Part of a Warrant Excluding Portions of a Road from Limitation as to Speed, and Excluding Portions of a Road from the Speed Limitation Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

URSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that portion of the warrant, dated the 27th day of July 1937,* which applies to the road described in the First Schedule hereto, and hereby excludes those portions of the road described in the Second Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Opunake Borough—
Lepperton Junction—Hawera via Opunake Main Highway No. 36 (all that portion from the western boundary of Opunake Borough to the junction of the main highway with Heaphy Street, a distance of approximately 33 chains; and all that portion from the junction of the main highway with Layard Street to the eastern boundary of Opunake Borough, a distance of approximately 27 chains).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Opunake Borough—
New Plymouth—Hawera via Opunake State Highway No. 26 (all that portion commencing at the western boundary of Opunake Borough and terminating at the junction of the said State highway with Wilson Road; also all that portion commencing at a point 2 chains east of Aytoun Road and terminating at the eastern boundary of Opunake Borough).

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Dunedin for Housing Purposes

OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Roslyn, Dunedin, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
