The Te Aroha Borough Council Electric Lines Licence 1955

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE

This order may be cited as the Te Aroha Borough Council Electric Lines Licence 1955.

Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Te Aroha Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorized to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1976.

The Order in Council, dated the 15th day of April 1912 and published in the N.Z. Gazette on the 25th day of the same month, authorizing the licensee to erect electric lines within the Borough of Te Aroha and in portions of the Piako and Ohinemuri Counties is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described:
(a) Within the Borough of Te Aroha as at present constituted;
(b) Commencing at a point on the boundary between the Borough of Te Aroha and the County of Piako at the intersection of Stanley and Waihou Roads and proceeding as follows:
(i) South-easterly along Stanley Road to a point opposite the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 27037, with branch lines leading in a north-easterly direction to Lots 1, 2, and part Lot 3, D.P. 27037 aforesaid, in the Borough of Te Aroha;
(ii) South-westerly along Waihou Road to a point opposite the south-western boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 14475, with branch lines leading in a north-westerly direction to land within the Borough of Te Aroha, and in a south-easterly direction to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and portion of Lot 5, D.P. 27534, in the County of Piako, the said portion of Lot 5, D.P. 27534, being shown coloured red on the plan marked S.H.D. 360 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
The routes of the said lines along Stanley and Waihou Roads being indicated by means of green lines and green dotted lines on the said plan S.H.D. 360.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Lawrence Roy Going, Hugh Charles Going, and Wynne Edmond Going (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include their successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Tutukaka Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 9951 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of October 1955.

The premium payable by the licensees shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).

Declaring Portions of Sounds (Fiordland) National Park to be Administered Under the Provisions of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being portions of Sounds (Fiordland) National Park, shall as from the date hereof be administered under the provisions of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908, but otherwise shall remain part of the said Park.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area within a circle of 25 yards radius centred on the landward end of the Glade House jetty, at the head of Lake Te Anau, situated in Clinton Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 200 yards radius, centred on Glade House, situated in Clinton Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 100 yards radius, centred on the Pompolona Huts, situated in Castlemount Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 440 yards radius, centred on the Quintin Huts, situated in Castlemount Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 50 yards radius, centred on the Boat Landing on Lake Ada, situated in Castlemount Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 50 yards radius, centred on the Upper Lake Ada Huts, situated in Mitre Peak Survey District.
Also all that area within a circle of 100 yards radius, centred on the Sandfly Point Huts, situated in Mitre Peak Survey District.
As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300/6 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red, the said areas being numbered 1 to 7 respectively on the said plan.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. R. McIntosh, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington’s Own), relinquishes the appointment of O.C., H.Q. Coy., H.Q., 2nd Infantry Brigade, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 9 September 1955.
HEADQUARTERS, 3RD INFANTRY BRIGADE
The notice published in the Gazette, 2 June 1955, No. 37, page 882, relative to Captain B. W. Roberts, M.M., is hereby cancelled, and the following substituted: Captain B. W. Roberts, M.M., from the 3rd Company, R.N.Z.A.S.C., to be Captain with seniority from 11 March 1955, and is appointed B.R.A.S.C.O., H.Q., 3rd Infantry Brigade. Dated 15 May 1955.
