Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Napier

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 24th day of October 1955.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood 24·9 perches.

Being Lots 544 and 546, D.P. 8939, being part Te Whare-O-Maraenui Block, and being part of the land formerly comprised and described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 147, folio 122, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry.

Situated in the City of Napier.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of October 1955.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Christchurch City Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road dealt with: 2 roods 20·6 perches.

Being road in Proclamation 405135 (formerly Lot 62, D.P. 17524, being part Rural Section 1140).

Situated in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury R.D.

Port Waikato Harbour Board Dissolved

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1955

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 2nd day of August 1955 providing for the dissolution of the Port Waikato Harbour Board and making supplementary provision incidental thereto:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:

(1) That the Port Waikato Harbour Board is hereby dissolved.

(2) That all the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Port Waikato Harbour Board shall vest in and become the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Raglan County Council.

(3) That the Raglan County Council shall, after meeting all debts, liabilities, and engagements vested in it pursuant to the preceding paragraph, hold the balance of any funds vested in it pursuant to that paragraph for the purpose of repairs to the Port Waikato Wharf.

Consenting to the Deposit of Moneys by Onehunga Borough Council in Terms of Section 89 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of October 1955

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 89 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Onehunga Borough Council to deposit moneys with the Auckland City Council and the Auckland Transport Board for any period or periods ending not later than the 31st day of March 1958.
