Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 9) 1955

PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938,* the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 9) 1955.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 7th day of October 1955.

2. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country other than the countries specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

Declaring Lands in North Auckland Land District to be a Water Area for the Purposes of Section 50 of the Land Act 1948

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 50 of the Land Act 1948, the Land Settlement Board hereby declares the lands described in the Schedule hereto (being lands on which waterworks are erected or are intended to be erected for the supply of water to the said lands) to be a water area for the purposes of the said section.

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 7 May 1940 and published in the Gazette, 9 May 1940, Volume II, page 1036.
