Appointments, Promotion, Extension of Commission, Transfers,
and Resignation of Commission of Officers of the Royal New
Zealand Air Force

Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General
has been pleased to approve the following appointments,
promotion, extension of commission, transfers, and resigna-
tion of commission of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment

Patrick Neville (77606) is granted a short-service com-
mission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, for
a period of three years, with the rank of Flying Officer and
with seniority as from 14 July 1953, to be followed by a
period of four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers.
Dated 14 July 1955.

Transfer and Appointment

Flight Lieutenant Robert Malcolm Allan, B.E. (74148),
is transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch
(Special Duties Division), to the General Duties Branch,
and is granted a permanent commission with his present
rank and seniority. Dated 1 July 1955.

Resignation of Commission

Flying Officer Brian Desmond Smith (75162) resigns his
commission. Dated 29 August 1955.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH
Extension of Commission

Special Duties Division

Wing Commander Henry Leopold Thompson, M.A. (70250),
is granted an extension of his present commission for a period
of one year. Dated 1 December 1955.

TERRITORIAL AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Promotion

Flying Officer Richard Basil Robertson (133409) is granted
the temporary rank of Flight Lieutenant. Dated 1 August
1955.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH
Appointment

Special Duties Division

Jack Lord Rollo (133834) is granted a commission in the
Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division),
Territorial Air Force, for a period of five years, with the
rank of Flight Lieutenant and with seniority as from date of
appointment, to be followed by a period of four years in the
Reserve of Air Force Officers. Dated 15 June 1955.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Transfer

Flight Lieutenant Robert Douglas Campbell (77109) is
transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch
(Secretarial Division), Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of
Air Force Officers, for a period of four years. Dated 15
August 1955.

Pursuant to section 5 of the Police Force Act 1947, His

Senior Detective James Jeremiah Murray, and
Senior Sergeant Burt Wesley Wootton

to be Sub-Inspectors in the New Zealand Police Force from
the 8th day of September 1955.

to be members of, and representatives of producers of meat
for export on the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board,

manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject
to the provisions of the said Act, as a site for a kindergarten.
