  1. The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Kapiti Island Rural Fire District.

  2. The trees and other plants on that part of Kapiti Island which is for the time being vested in the Crown are hereby specified as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted.

  3. The Kapiti Island Rural Fire District shall, for the purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, be administered by the Minister of Forests.

  4. The period between the 1st day of September in any year and the 31st day of May in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby specified and declared to be a closed fire season in the said district.


SCHEDULE

AREA INCLUDED IN THE KAPITI ISLAND RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing approximately 4,850 acres, and being that area known as the Island of Kapiti, situated in Blocks I and II, Kapiti Survey District, as the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 89/18 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing John Durno, of Putorino, Storekeeper, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Hawke’s Bay

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 25th day of January 1955

Present:

THE HON. W. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes John Durno, of Putorino, Storekeeper (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.


CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21–61 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1975 or until electrical energy is available from an Electric Power Board or some other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

ELECTRIC lines for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from a power-house situated in Section 5, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction, across a State highway to a store situated in Section 8, Putorino Township, and thence to a house situated in Section 8 aforesaid, all being situated in Block II, Mocangiangi Survey District, in the County of Hawke’s Bay, the said electric lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked S.H.D. 301 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Authorizing the Chatham Islands County Council to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Chatham Islands County Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the licensee’s generator situated in Kekerengu part 66 Block, Block II, Oro-puke Survey District in the County of Chatham Islands, and proceeding as follows:

(a) In a northerly direction to the Centennial Hall, and thence in an easterly direction to the county office.

(b) In a southerly, westerly, and northerly direction, to and along a public road to a wharf shed, and thence in a north-easterly direction to a wharf.

The said lines being more particularly shown by means of blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 207, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


LICENCE

  1. This order may be cited as the Mackenzie County Council Electric Lines Licence 1955.

  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth the Mackenzie County Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorized to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  5. (1) Bulk supply at a normal rated pressure of 11,000 volts shall be received from the State Hydro-electric Department’s power station at Tekapo, or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be arranged between the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department and the licensee.
