Notice to Creditors to Prove

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and of Claude Phillips Limited (in liquidation).

THE liquidator of Claude Phillips Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 30th day of September 1955 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

MALVERN COUNTY COUNCIL

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Malvern County Council at its meeting held on the 2nd day of June 1955 has resolved to prepare for the Malvern County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Malvern County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 30th day of November 1955.

THE RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers’ Dwellings Loan 1954, £11,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000) authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting three houses for borough employees, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal five pence (0·5d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Rangiora (on the basis of the unimproved value); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at an ordinary meeting of the Rangiora Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 24th day of August 1955.

THE RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1955, £7,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing water pumping plant at Lillybrook Reserve and extending water mains, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal three five pence (0·35d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rangiora (on the basis of the unimproved value); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at an ordinary meeting of the Rangiora Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 24th day of August 1955.

THE RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

Works Loan 1955, £2,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a truck, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal five pence (0·5d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rangiora (on the basis of the unimproved value); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five (5) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN accordance with the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1928, the Whangarei Borough Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £18,000 authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out a portion of the work which is proposed for the provision and treatment of a major portion of the Borough water supply, namely, the provision of pumps and rising main to serve the Tikipunga Reservoir, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1932824d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years or until the loan is paid off, and the said council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the said loan.”

IN accordance with the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1928, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £59,600 authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing two one-million-gallon reservoirs and laying 9 in. water-main to Anzac Park Reservoir the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·64074d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a term of ten years or until the loan is paid off, and the said council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the said loan.”
