Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 8) 1955

PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations 1938,* the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 8) 1955.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 16th day of September 1955.
- Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country other than the countries specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

Notice Respecting Tariff Inquiry on Window Sashes or Frames, Metal

IT is hereby notified that the report made by the Board of Trade pursuant to the Board of Trade Notice No. 75* respecting the rates of import duty imposed under Tariff item 375 on window sashes, or frames, metal, has been considered by the Government, and it has been decided not to amend the duties at present imposed on such goods.

Sale of Unclaimed Property

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the police at Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill Stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, 1 October 1955, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Assistant Commissioner, Superintendent, or Inspector of Police in charge of the District.
