Revoking the Reservation Over Reserves in Canterbury Land District
P
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for reserves for municipal purposes over the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

Reserve 3604, situated in Block II, Town of Darfield: Area, 1 rood, more or less.

Revoking a Warrant Excluding Portion of Street from Limitation as to Speed, and Excluding Portion of Street from Limitation as to Speed Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
P
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 7th day of May 1954,* and hereby excludes that portion of street described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

SITUATED within Mount Maunganui Borough—
Mount Maunganui Main Highway No. 411 (all that portion commencing at the southern boundary of Mount Maunganui Borough and terminating at the junction of Dee Street with the said main highway).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
P
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
P
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein at any time during the period commencing on the 18th day of December of each year and ending on the seventh day following Easter Monday in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Rodney County—
All that area of Leigh Township and that portion of the Wellsford-Leigh Main Highway No. 389 commencing at its junction with the Warkworth-Leigh Main Highway No. 875 and terminating at a point 12 chains measured in a westerly direction from the said junction; and also that portion of the Warkworth-Leigh Main Highway No. 875 commencing at a point 32 chains measured in a southerly direction from its junction with the Wellsford-Leigh Main Highway No. 389 and terminating at the Leigh Wharf.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block II, Tarawera Survey District, for a Roadman’s Cottage

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a roadman’s cottage, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tarawera and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a Maori school, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Pipiriki and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
