Specification Declared to be a Standard Specification
PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941, the Minister of Industries and Commerce on 27 July 1955, declared the undermentioned specification to be a standard specification:

Boundaries of Borough of Mount Wellington Redefined
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1964, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set nut in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Mount Wellington, the previous boundaries having been altered by an Order in Council dated 18 May 1955 and published in Gazette, 19 Nay 1955, No. 34, page 804.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF MOUNT WELLINGTON
ALL that area of approximately 4,075 acres in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the line of mean high-water along the left bank of the Tamaki River, in Block II, Otnuhuhu Survey District, being the southernmost corner of Lot 985 on D.P. 39859, being part of Allotment 39, District of Tnmaki, and running southerly generally along the line of mean high-water along that bank of the said river, crossing the entrance to the Panmure Basin, to and along the line of mean high-water along the left bank of the Otahuhu Creek to the northern side of Portage Road; thence westerly along the northern side of that road, and along a right line being the production of the western end of that northern side across the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the line of mean high-water (spring tide) along the shores of the Manukau Harbour; thence northerly along the line of mean high-water (spring tide) along those shores, and the left bank of St. Anne's Creek, to the south-western side of the Great South Road; thence north-westerly along that south-western side, as defined originally, and so as to exclude from the Borough of Mount Wellington any areas which may have been taken for, or dedicated as, road or street on or along the aforesaid side since the constitution of the former Mount Wellington Road District, to a point in line with the generally south-eastern side of Penrose Road; thence along a right line across the Great South Road aforesaid to the south-western comer of Section 169, Prescott Settlement., and along the northern side of Penrose Road to the south-western corner of part Lot 1 on D.P. 18413 being part Allotment 33 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland; thence again northerly along the western boundary of the said part Lot I, along a right line across the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, to and along the western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 34145, being part of the aforesaid Allotment 33, and along the western boundary of another part of the said Allotment 33 (Transmission Line), to and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 5 and 4 on D.P. 41128, a right line across Gavin Street to and along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Lot 6 on D.P. 41128 aforesaid, the said lots being parts of Allotment 28 of Section 12 aforementioned, along another right line across Gavin Street aforesaid, to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 1 on D.P. 41128 and part Lot 1 on D.P. 40112, both lots being parts of Allotment 28 aforesaid, along the northwestern boundary of that part of the aforesaid Allotment 28 taken for quarry purposes nnd shown on 8.0. Plan 33697, and along the north-western boundaries of part Lot 1 on D.P. 8915 and Lot I. on D.P. 37619, both lots being parts of the aforesaid Allotment 28, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 10 on D.P. 30443, being part of Allotment 27 of Section 12 aforementioned, to the Ellerslie-Panmure Main Highway ; thence along a right line across that highway to the Junction of the northern side of the said hiilway and the north-western side of Ballarat Street, and along that generally north-western side of Ballarat Street aforesaid to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on Deeds Plan. 8.28, being part Allotment 26 of Section 12 aforementioned; thence easterly generally along the boundaries of the City of Auckland as described in N.Z. Gazette No. 50 of the 19th day of August 1954, page 1337, to the point of commencement.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Ruatahuna Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1963, the said land being so subject, by virtue of a notice dated 24 March 1931, and published in the Gazette, 2 April 1931, Volume I, page 843.
