Decisions of the Bureau of Industry Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

PURSUANT to Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936, the Bureau of Industry has made the following decisions in respect of applications for licences.

For extensions of the company’s existing licence so as to give it the right—
(a) To make groundwood pulp for use with bleached kraft pulp, to make writing and printing paper and/or bleached and unbleached kraft pulp, to make container board;
(b) To make container board consisting of blends of kraft pulp with mechanical pulp;
and for amendment of the company’s existing licence—
(c) By removing therefrom the restriction to a maximum of 2,750 tons per annum of paper containing bleached kraft pulp in order to permit the manufacture of various grades of printings and writings consisting of varying mixtures of bleached kraft pulp and groundwood | Declined | 4 July 1955. |

Declaring Land to be Subject to the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waikato Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Whakatohea Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 18 December 1930 and published in the Gazette, 28 December 1930, Volume III, page 3908.
