OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Plant Loan 1955

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Counties Act 1920, and amendments thereto respectively, and all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000 authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under authority of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of purchasing plant to assist in carrying out the Council’s road sealing programme, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three eightieths of one penny (33/80d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Otorohanga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.’’

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at an ordinary meeting of the Otorohanga County Council held on the 27th day of June 1955.

Workers’ Dwellings Loan 1955, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Counties Act 1920, and amendments thereto respectively, and all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under authority of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of providing workers’ dwellings, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ten sixty-fourths of one penny (10/64d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Otorohanga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.’’

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the Coromandel County Council under the above Act for the purpose of providing houses under the Rural Housing Act, the said Coromandel County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. (one-fourth of a penny) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Coromandel; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
