CHANGE OF SURNAME

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Whangarei) that I, the undersigned, JOHN THOMAS URLICH, of Kaitaia, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Farmer, and now or lately and till the present time called JOHN THOMAS WILKINSON, do hereby absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said name JOHN THOMAS WILKINSON, and in lieu thereof adopt the name of JOHN THOMAS URLICH: And for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said name of JOHN THOMAS URLICH as my name in lieu of the said name of JOHN THOMAS WILKINSON, abandoned as aforesaid: And I therefore hereby expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me by such adopted name of JOHN THOMAS URLICH.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted and substituted name of JOHN THOMAS URLICH this 9th day of June 1955.

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

DUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Mount Wellington Borough Council made on the 9th day of August 1954, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to Mount Wellington Borough. The scheme has been deposited in the Mount Wellington Borough Council Offices, 110 Mount Wellington Highway, the Auckland Regional Planning Authority’s Offices, Princes Street, and the District Land Registrar’s Offices, Courthouse Lane, and is there open for inspection (without fee) to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the Form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 12th day of October 1955. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objections will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Library and Housing Loan 1954, of £50,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of July 1955:

‘‘ ‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) to be known as the Wellington City Library and Housing Loan 1954, of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, a women’s rest room, and meeting part of the cost of a branch library in Constable Street, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixteen eight-hundredths of a penny (16/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’ ’’

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Housing Loan No. 2, 1954, of £87,500

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of July 1955:

‘‘ ‘In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘ ‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of eighty-seven thousand five hundred pounds (£87,500) to be known as the Wellington City Housing Loan No. 2 1954, of £87,500, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation to house persons displaced from the Adelaide Road—King Street portion of the Te Aro Flat reclamation area, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-nine eight-hundredths of a penny (39/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’ ’’

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.


STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s. per calendar year in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of Regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
