Appointing the Matapu Hall Society, Incorporated, to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Matapu Hall Society, Incorporated, to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a site for a public hall.

Board Appointed to Have Control of the Sanatorium Hill Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the South Auckland Land District, ex officio;

Two Councillors of the Cambridge Borough Council, ex officio, to be appointed in that behalf by the Borough Council;

The Chairman of the Leamington Town Board, ex officio;

The Chairman of the Waikato County Council, ex officio;

The member of the Waikato County Council representing the Tamahere Riding, ex officio;

A representative of the Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand, Incorporated, ex officio, to be appointed in that behalf by the Society;

A representative of the Waikato District Council of the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, ex officio, to be appointed in that behalf by the Council;

A representative of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, Incorporated, ex officio, to be appointed in that behalf by Chamber;

to be the Sanatorium Hill Scenic Reserve Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a scenic reserve.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICTโ€”SANATORIUM HILL SCENIC RESERVE

THAT portion of Section 3, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, containing an area of approximately 140 acres. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/934c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

to be members of the Kakapuaka Public Hall Board, Otago Land District, in place of Kenneth James McIntosh (deceased), and Allan George Scott, left the district.

to be the Judge of the Assessment Court for the Borough of East Coast Bays.

Pursuant to section 10 of the Urban Farm Land Rating Act 1932, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Henry Arthur Selwyn Lloyd, Farmer, of Kaukapakapa,

to be a member of the Assessment Court for the Borough of East Coast Bays; and also to appoint

Gordon Mossman Stubbs, Land Agent, of Browns Bay,

on the recommendation of the East Coast Bays Borough Council to be a member of the said Assessment Court.

Appointment of Honorary Fishery Officer

Pursuant to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1946, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints

Stuart Armstrong Hume, of Tairua,

to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act 1908, such person to hold office until the 31st day of March 1956.

Coal Lease Held by Her Majesty the Queen Partially Surrendered

Pursuant to section 37 of the Coal Act 1948, notice is hereby given that the coal lease described in the First Schedule hereto is surrendered as from the date hereof in so far as it relates to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
