TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

—

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and every other power it thereto enabling, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the repayment of a loan of £50,000, being the Waterworks Extension Loan 1954, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and two hundredths of a penny (1·02d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Awamutu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Council in the presence of—

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to enable the Hastings Gas Company Limited to supply the Borough of Hastings and the immediately surrounding district with gas”.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Hastings Gas Company Limited to introduce in the present session of Parliament a Bill intituled “An Act to enable the Hastings Gas Company Limited to supply the Borough of Hastings and the immediately surrounding district with gas.”

The objects which the said Bill is intended to effect are: To authorize the Hastings Gas Company Limited to supply with gas the Borough of Hastings and the surrounding district lying within a radius of ten miles from the north-eastern corner of Section No. 220, South Hastings, but not including any land lying to the north of the Ngaruroro River.

This Bill is promoted by the Hastings Gas Company Limited, and the Company’s address for communications and notices is at its registered office, No. 105 King Street North, Hastings, at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a sewer for drainage works, and for the purposes of such public work an easement affecting the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, such easement to confer to the Board the right at all times to convey sewage through pipes or sewers across the said land, and for such purpose to enter upon the land and lay, construct, maintain, repair, and otherwise deal with such sewers or pipes under the surface of the said land.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land over which such easement is required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board situate at No. 28 Quay Street, Auckland, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such easement who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such easement must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board at No. 28 Quay Street, Auckland.

THE SCHEDULE

LAND required to be taken—

An easement as above over Lots 110, 111, 112, 134, and 135 of the subdivision by the Melanesian Mission Trust Board of portions of Allotments 28 and 29 of the District of Tamaki, being portion of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 593, folio 154, of the Register Book at Auckland, such subdivision being in accordance with the scheme plan approved by the Auckland City Council on 19 November 1954.
