Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Wairoa County—

All that area at Nuhaea consisting of that portion of the Gisborne–Wairoa via Morere State Highway No. 49, commencing at a point 16 chains measured along the said State highway in a westerly direction from its junction with the Nuhaea–Waikokopu Main Highway No. 523 and terminating at a point 20 chains measured along the said State highway in a northerly direction from the said junction, and that portion of the Nuhaea–Waikokopu Main Highway No. 523 commencing at its junction with the said State highway and terminating at a point 35 chains measured along the said main highway in an easterly direction from the said junction.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Excluding Roads from Limitation as to Speed Imposed by Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that portion of the Warrant dated the 3rd day of December 1952* which applies to the road described in the Schedule hereto.

The Hikurangi–Marua Main Highway No. 460 (all that portion commencing at the north-eastern boundary of Hikurangi Town District and terminating at a point 12 chains measured in a south-westerly direction from the commencing point).

Notice of Intention to Take Land Together With a Right of Way in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, for Better Utilization

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto together with a right of way reserved by Memorandum of Transfer No. 226931, over the part of the land in D.P. 10900, shown coloured blue on the plan on certificate of title, Volume 447, folio 193, for better utilization; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Titahi Bay and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for better utilization; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Dunedin North, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Declaring Land Acquired, Together With the Benefit of Sewerage Rights, for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to a Building Line Restriction

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the benefit of sewerage rights created in and by Memoranda of Transfer Nos. 21258 and 21327, Marlborough Land Registry, and subject to building line restriction No. K. 3846, Marlborough Land Registry, to be Crown land for purposes of the Land Act 1948, together with the benefit of the aforesaid sewerage rights and subject to the aforesaid restriction, as from the 4th day of July 1955.
