TAWA FLAT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING RATE

Reserves Loan 1954, £3,700

THAT for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on Reserves Loan 1954 of £3,700 authorized to be raised under the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of purchasing land for a reserve, and pursuant to the consent given by Order in Council as contained in the New Zealand Gazette No. 32, page 736, of the 5th day of May 1955, the Tawa Flat Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of one penny (1/9d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Tawa Flat; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above resolution is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Tawa Flat Borough Council. at its ordinary meeting held on the 25th day of May 1955.

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Brixton Water Supply District Loan 1955, £8,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Brixton Water Supply District, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one decimal six two eight pence (1·628d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Brixton Water Supply Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Taranaki County Council held on the 7th day of June 1955.

Notice of Final Meeting of Members

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and of C.M.B. Construction Company Limited (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the office of the liquidator, 400 Tremain Avenue, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, the 6th day of July 1955, at 9 a.m., for the purposes of—

(a) Having an account laid before it showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and

(b) Passing the following extraordinary resolution:

‘That the books and records of the company be retained by the liquidator for a period of not less than twelve months from the date of the passing of this resolution, and upon the expiry of this period they be destroyed.’

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan No. 1 1954, £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kaitaia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds authorized to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and constructing a sewerage disposal scheme within the Borough of Kaitaia, the said Kaitaia Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·4 of one penny in one pound (£1) on all rateable property of the Borough of Kaitaia; and that such a rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

Notice of Meeting of Creditors

PURSUANT to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that at a meeting of Miles Nelson Limited held on the 8th day of June 1955, it was agreed that as the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue in business it is advisable to wind up, and that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, at 2.30 in the afternoon on the 17th day of June 1955, at the Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, Commerce Buildings, Courthouse Lane, Auckland C. 1, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
