EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Memorandum of Mortgage 4549, affecting 146 acres 1 rood 17 perches, being Section 2318, Block X, Kaniere Survey District, and all the land in certificate of title, Volume 23, folio 242, Westland Registry, wherein LOUIS HENRY MOREL, late of Kowhitirangi, Farmer (now deceased), is the Mortgagor, and ALEXANDER WATSON EHARRY, late of Hokitika, Farmer (now deceased), is the mortgagee, and application having been made to me to register a transmission of the said mortgage and a discharge thereof, hereby give notice of my intention to dispense with production of the said outstanding duplicate of the Memorandum of Mortgage in terms of section 44 of the Land Transfer Act 1952, and to register the transmission and discharge of mortgage on the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the gazette containing this notice.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorized to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of sealing roads in the Borough and purchase of plant, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-half pence (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The foregoing resolution was made and confirmed by the Taupo Borough Council on the 18th day of May 1955.
