Appointments

(76701), is granted a short-service commission in the Medical Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period of four years with the rank of Flying Officer and with seniority as from 17 February 1951, to be followed by a period of four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. Dated 17 February 1954.

John David FRANKISH, M.B., Ch.B. (77294), is granted a short-service commission in the Medical Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period of four and a half years with the rank of Flying Officer and with seniority as from 15 February 1952, to be followed by a period of twelve years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. Dated 15 February 1954.

Flying Officer Norman Lewis Sidney BOURCHIER, M.B., Ch.B. (77255), is granted the rank of Flight Lieutenant with seniority as from 13 January 1953. Dated 13 January 1955.

Amendment

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23, dated 8 April 1954, page 555, in so far as it relates to ‘Norman Lewis Sidney BOURCHIER’ is hereby amended to read ‘to be followed by a period of twelve years on the Air Force Reserve’ in lieu of ‘to be followed by a period of four years on the Air Force Reserve’.

The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 66, dated 9 August 1951, page 1157, and the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, dated 20 August 1953, page 1356, in so far as they relate to ‘Robert Fraser WARD’ are hereby amended to read ‘Fraser’ in lieu of ‘Frazer’.

Port Conciliation Committee for Port of Gisborne Appointed

PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the port of Gisborne for a term of one year expiring on the 30th day of April 1956:

John Alfred Booth, Deputy Chairman; and

Ronald Edward Pirani, Irvine James Quigley, and Sidney Millner Williams (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association (Incorporated)); and

Revocation of the Appointment of Hukutai Domain Board and Appointment of New Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Hukutai Domain Board as published in Gazette, 19 August 1948, Volume II, page 1021, and appoints

The Opotiki County Council

to be the Hukutai Domain Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a public domain.
