TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Station Loan 1954, £12,000

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 16th day of May 1955, the following resolution was passed:

‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a new fire station within the Borough, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-eighth of a penny (1½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Cemetery Loan 1955, of £20,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of a new site for a cemetery, including the costs of improving the area for such purpose, the erection of fences, the provision of major roads, and all legal and other expenses connected with such purpose, including the cost of raising the loan, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundredths of a penny (5/100d.) in the pound on the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted meeting held the 11th day of May 1955.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Nolantown Improvements Loan 1954, £35,000

THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hawera Borough Council held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 16th day of May 1955.

‘In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £35,000 authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the said Act for the purpose of improving the existing streets in Nolantown and providing the footpaths with kerbs and channels, the Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-five one hundredths (65/100ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera, described in the N.Z. Gazette, 1925, Volume 2, at page 1776; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1928, the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorized to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in its district (excluding the Borough of Napier as constituted on the 6th day of July 1925), the said Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth (1/14th) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Boroughs of Hastings, Havelock North, and Taradale, and within that portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which on the 6th day of July 1925 was included in the County of Hawke's Bay; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

THE FEILDING GAS COMPANY LIMITED

RESOLUTION FOR VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the shareholders of the Feilding Gas Company Limited will be held on the 30th day of May 1955 at which a resolution for voluntary winding-up is to be proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933 at the Community Centre, Feilding, on Monday, the 30th day of May 1955, at three o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
