Declaring Land in Wellington Land District, Vested in the Wellington Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.


SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

PART Lot 7, Deeds Plan No. 2A, being part Section 43, Manaiia Block, situated in Block IV, Tiffin Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 27 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 346, folio 144.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1262 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of provisional State forest reserve No. 20 set apart by Proclamation dated the 9th day of March 1923, and published in Gazette, 22 March 1923, Vol, I, page 767, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 9, Block VIII, Lillburn Survey District: Area, 43 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 6221.)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for police purposes (residence), is hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 30th day of May 1955.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart: 3 roods 35ยท9 perches.

Being Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 6565, being part Section 43, Manaiia Block.

Situated in the Borough of Masterton, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 502, folio 278, Wellington Land Registry.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 30th day of May 1955.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 2 acres 2 roods.

Being part Allotment 9, Te Puna Parish.

Situated in Block IX, Tauranga Survey District, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 37144.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146590 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of May 1955.
