WAIMATE PRIVATE HOSPITAL LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution

Pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 5th day of May 1955, the following special resolutions were passed:

'1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

'2. That Messrs R. F. Algie and Company, of Waimate, Accountants, be appointed liquidators of the company.'

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

(a) Land Development Loan 1954, of £5,000

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land, subdividing and developing it for housing, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighty-eight thousandths of a penny (0·088d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

(b) Plant Loan (No. 3) 1954, of £8,400

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,400 authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing additional vehicles and plant, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and twelve thousandths of a penny (0·212d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

(c) Free Ambulance Main Building Loan 1954, of £2,400

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,400 authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of erecting a Free Ambulance in Lower Hutt, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-eight thousandths of a penny (0·028d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

(d) Municipal Building Loan 1954, of £21,500

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £21,500 authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting new municipal offices and municipal library, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and eighteen thousandths of a penny (0·218d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

(e) Roading Construction Loan 1954, of £52,000

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £52,000 authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring land for, and the preparation, forming, and sealing of roads and service lanes, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-seven hundredths of a penny (0·67d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan

and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

The foregoing resolutions were passed at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday, the 10th day of May 1955.

GEORGE ROBINSON (formerly Terangatiratanga Hou Teoti Whua Rapatini), of Karioi, in New Zealand, Railway Employee, do hereby give notice to all persons, corporations, and companies, that by Deed Poll bearing date the 29th day of April 1955 and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wanganui District, I have renounced and abandoned my former Christian and surnames of Terangatiratanga Hou Teoti Whua Rapatini, and that I have permanently assumed and adopted the Christian name of George and the surname of Robinson and that I shall thereafter at all time be known as George Robinson.

Final Meeting

Pursuant to the provisions of section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that the final meeting of the Cunningham Carrying Company Limited (in voluntary liquidation) will be held at Room 4, Stamford House, Dudley Street, Lower Hutt, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, 7 June 1955, for the purpose of receiving the liquidator's account of the winding-up.
