Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Bay of Islands Development
Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject
to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act
1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
18 February 1947 and published in the Gazette, 20 February
1947, Volume I, page 238.

Notice to Mariners No. 88 of 1955
NEW ZEALAND—NORTH ISLAND—AUCKLAND HARBOUR
Lighted Beacon Removed
THE cables having been lifted between Port Erin and Stokes
Point, the white triangular beacons marking the eastern
and western boundary lines of the prohibited anchorage have
been removed.
As a bridge is to be built across the harbour in this area,
necessitating the construction of a temporary wharf on the
northern side of the breakwater and the erection of pylons
from the sea bed, the area is to remain a prohibited anchorage.
Mariners are warned to exercise caution when in the vicinity.
The following are to be expunged from chart 1970:
(1) The fixed green lights 218° 10·1 cables and 190° 4·9
cables from the beacon off Stokes Point in 36° 49′ 38″ S.,
174° 44′ 55″ E. (approx).
(2) The fixed red lights 217° 10·2 cables and 191° 5·1
cables from the beacon off Stokes Point.

Notifying the Vesting of Public Reserves in the Crown
