A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 rood 18 perches.
Adjoining part Section 4, Block V, Waitemata Survey District, and part Lot 26, D.P. 5059, being part Te Ikumatao No. 1 Block.
Situated in Block V, Waitemata Survey District, and Block VII, Kumeu Survey District, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 38721.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145840 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection 5 of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed street, described in the First Schedule hereto to be added to the land, being land acquired for the purposes of the Housing Act 1919, described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the closed street: 2 acres 28 perches.
Being closed street in Proclamation 14455, Auckland Land Registry, N.Z. Gazette of 3 March 1955, No. 15, page 324.
SECOND SCHEDULE
LAND ACQUIRED FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE HOUSING ACT 1919
ALL that area in the Borough of Whangarei, Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 94 acres 2 roods 25·85 perches, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 10226, Lot 1, D.P. 21219, part Lot 6, D.P. 1275, land on D.P. 2079, D.P. 14055, D.P. 26718, and part land on D.P. 3098, being part Allotment 2, Parish of Whangarei.

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing by admeasurement 2,340 acres, more or less, and being Section 4, Block XIV, Kuripapanga Survey District. As shown on plan No. 73/7, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 2712.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of April 1955.

Revoking Wildlife Refuge in Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatization District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by Warrant made under section 6 of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22 on the 20th day of February 1929, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of February 1929, at page 445, certain areas including the land described in the Schedule hereto were declared to be sanctuaries under that Act and are now wildlife refuges under the Wildlife Act 1953;
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby amend the said Warrant by omitting so much thereof as relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
LAKE ROTOKAWAU, Blocks II and III, Rangaunu Survey District: All that area in the Auckland Land District situated in Blocks II and III, Rangaunu Survey District, and known as Lake Rotokawau, and the area within a line parallel to and 5 chains from the edge of the said lake.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of April 1955.

Revoking Wildlife Refuge in the Chatham Islands

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by Warrant made under section 6 of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22 on the 5th day of April 1937, and published in the Gazette of the 8th day of April 1937, at page 972, the land described in the Schedule hereto was declared to be a sanctuary under that Act and is now a wildlife refuge under the Wildlife Act 1953;
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the said Warrant.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land situated in the Te Whanga Lagoon, Chatham Islands, and known as Motuhinahina Island.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of April 1955.
