Boundaries of Borough of Taradale and County of Hawke’s Bay Redefined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1934, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Taradale and the County of Hawke’s Bay, and the Meeanee Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council dated 15 February 1955, and published in Gazette, 17 February 1955, No. 12, page 247.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF TARADALE

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 16 on plan numbered 4918, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, being also a point on the southern side of Waverley Road; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Lot 16 to the south-western corner thereof; thence westerly by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 14 on the said plan numbered 4918, and along the southern boundaries of Lots 14 and 13 on the said plan numbered 4918 to the south-western corner of the said Lot 13; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 9, 8, and 7 by a right line to the easternmost corner of Lot 5, and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 5, 4, and 3, all on the said plan numbered 4918, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 3; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 3, 2, and 1 on the said plan numbered 4918 to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1 on plan numbered 7396, deposited as aforesaid; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, and 3 by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 5, along the eastern boundaries of Lots 5, 6, and 7 all on the said plan numbered 7396, and by a line parallel with Guppy Road to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan numbered 8508, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on the said plan numbered 8508 to the eastern corner of the said Lot 2; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 2, 3, and 5 on the said plan numbered 8508 and the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Lot 1 on plan numbered 8480, deposited as aforesaid, to the eastern corner of Lot 2 on the said plan numbered 8480; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 2, Lot 3, on plan numbered 1639, deposited as aforesaid, and Lot 3 on plan numbered 7597, deposited as aforesaid, and the last mentioned boundary produced to the middle line of Burness Road; thence westerly along the middle line of that road to a point in line
