Declaring Stopped Government Road to be Crown Land
P
URSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928,
the Minister of Works hereby declares the stopped
Government road described in the Schedule hereto to be
Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the
26th day of April 1955.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road
declared to be Crown land: 39 perches.
Being part Section 4.
Situated in Block V, Waitemata Survey District, Auckland
R.D. (S.O. 38721.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145840
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured blue.

Notice of Intention to Take an Easement Over Land in
Block VI, Motatau Survey District, for the Use, Conven-
ience, or Enjoyment of a Maori School
N
OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take an
easement for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a Maori
school over the land described in the Schedule hereto, vesting
in Her Majesty the Queen, first, the full and free right, liberty,
licence, and authority in perpetuity to take water from a well
situated on the land firstly described in the Schedule hereto
and for that purpose to construct, use, and maintain a well
and a pump-house thereon, and to carry out any other works
that are deemed necessary by Her Majesty the Queen to pro-
vide an unpolluted and adequate supply of water to the land
taken for the purposes of a Maori school described in
Proclamations Nos. 8728 and 11341, Auckland Land Registry,
and, secondly, the full and free right, liberty, licence, and
authority in perpetuity to convey water from the said well
and pump-house along, under, or over the land described in
the Schedule hereto and for that purpose to lay, construct,
place, and maintain a line of pipes along, under, or over the
said land described in the said Schedule, the aforesaid ease-
ment to be appurtenant to the land taken for the purposes of
a Maori school by Proclamations Nos. 8728 and 11341, Auck-
land Land Registry; and notice is hereby further given that
the plan of the land over which an easement is required to be
taken is deposited in the post office at Moerewa and is there
open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking
of the said easement over land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such easement over
land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of Masterton

OTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1)
of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval
was granted on the 21st day of December 1954 to the Master-
ton County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its
district scheme by sections, as follows:
(1) No. 1 Section: As described in the Schedule hereto.
(2) No. 2 Section: The remainder of the County of
Masterton.
SCHEDULE
MASTERTON COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (No. 1 SECTION)
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District in the County
of Masterton bounded by a line commencing at a point being
the south-eastern corner of Section 128, Masterton Small
Farm Settlement, situated in Block III, Tifin Survey District;
then proceeding north-easterly along the south-eastern boun-
daries of Sections 128, 126, and 127, Masterton Small Farm
Settlement, to and across a public road; thence easterly and
northerly along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section
130, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, to and across Upper
Plain Road; thence westerly along the northern side of that
road to the eastern boundary of Section 130 aforesaid; thence
northerly along that eastern boundary and the eastern boun-
dary of Section 22, Masterton Small Farm Settlement, and
westerly along the northern boundary of Section 22 aforesaid
to the south-eastern boundary of Section 6, Waipoua Block;
thence north-easterly along that boundary to and across
Matahiwi Road, and again along that south-eastern boundary
to the southern bank of the Waipoua River; thence north-
easterly along a right line to the intersection of the eastern
side of the Upper Opaki Road with the northern side of Opaki
Loop Line; thence north-easterly generally along that northern
side to and across the Woodville-Masterton State Highway,
again along that northern side, to and across the Wellington-
Napier Railway, again along that northern side to the
south-western boundary of Section 11, Opaki Block; thence
south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and
south-eastern boundaries of that Section to the right bank of
the Rangahaua River; thence southerly generally down that
right bank to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Okurupatu Block, situated in Block XIV, Kopuaranga Survey
District; thence to and along that boundary to the eastern
side of a public road; thence southerly and easterly along the
eastern and northern sides of that road to and across Caves
Road, and again along that northern side to the right bank
of the Whangehu River; thence southerly generally down
that right bank to the left bank of the Waingawa River;
thence north-westerly generally up that left bank to the point
of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Mas-
terton as described in N.Z. Gazette of 22 February 1951,
page 235.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and
Pharmaceutical Services for the Residents of Murchoison
Special Area

URSUANT to section 82 of the Social Security Act 1938,
the Minister of Health has made special arrangements
by which all persons for the time being resident in the County
of Murchoison are, on and after the 26th day of April 1955,
entitled to receive without charge at the hands of Alister
Douglas George Bowron, of Murchoison, Registered Medical
Practitioner, all such medical and pharmaceutical requirements
as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social
Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941* and the Social
Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941†.

URSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations
thereunder, notice is hereby given that a claim has been
made for the registration of the following colours, badges,
and monograms for the Freyberg High School, Palmerston
North:
Colours: Squadron blue and gold.
Uniform—
Boys—
Cap: Blue with gold embroidered badge.
Shirt, shorts, and pullover: Mid-grey.
Socks: Mid-grey, with two ½ in. gold bands enclosing
a ½ in. blue band in the tops.
Belt: Plain black leather.
Girls—
Hat: Blue beret, with cloth badge embroidered in gold.
Summer—White panama with blue band and cloth
badge.
Tunic—
Winter: Navy blue serge gym. tunic.
Summer: Squadron blue lightweight tunic.
Blouse: White.
Both Boys’ and Girls’—
Blazer: Squadron blue with gold embroidered mono-
gram.
School Crest: Squadron blue base, outline of shield and
emblems in gold. The emblems are tower with Union Jack
flying, four stars on black, a lion rampant, and surmounting
all an eagle. Below the shield the motto: Virtute et Honore.
If within forty days of the publication of this notice no
objection to this claim is received by me the claim will be
registered in accordance with the provisions of the above Act
and regulations.
