Changing the Purpose of Reserves in South Auckland Land District and Vesting in the Mount Maunganui Borough Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto from reserves for plantation purposes to reserves for access way purposes, and further, vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Maunganui, in trust, for that purpose.

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto from reserves for plantation purposes to reserves for access way purposes, and further, vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Tawa Flat, in trust for that purpose.

Revoking the Vesting of the Control of, and Changing the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in Wellington Land District

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the vesting of the control in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Taitahe of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, and further, changes the purpose of that part of the said reserve from a reserve for the preservation of scenery to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Notice Prescribing Colours of Registration Plate and Declaring Registration Plates to be Licences

Pursuant to regulation 8 (2) of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares that in respect of the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July 1956, and any licence year thereafter, the distinguishing marks on learners’ registration plates for motor cycles shall be embossed and coloured black on a white background, and the distinguishing marks for all other registration plates shall be embossed and coloured white on a venetian-red background, and that registration plates shall be deemed for the purposes of the Transport Act 1949 and for the purposes of the said regulations to be a licence to use the respective motor vehicle in the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July 1956.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
