Classification of Roads in Raglan County
PURSUANT to subclauses (6) and (10) of regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1950 (as substituted by regulation 4 (1) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1950, Amendment No. 8) the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes those portions of the Warrant dated the 11th day of August 1950,* classifying roads in Raglan County, insofar as they apply to roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Raglan County Council’s proposed classification, and proposed variation in the classification, of roads as set out in the Schedule hereto and situated in Raglan County.

Licensing Control Commission—Awarding Compensation to Owner and Licensee (Buller Licensing District)
TAKE notice that, pursuant to the provisions of the Licensing Amendment Act 1948, the Commission has awarded the following amounts of compensation to the undermentioned owner and licensee consequent upon cancellation of the publican’s licence in respect of the premises shown below:
“Albion” Hotel at Black’s Point:
The Official Assignee in Bankruptcy as Administrator of the Estate of Ronald Cedric James Kirk, deceased, care of Bates, Edgar, and Wills, Solicitors, Christchurch, as owner, the sum of £1,808.
Harold Edward Gillum, care of Charles S. Thomas, Thompson, and Hay, Solicitors, Christchurch, as lessee/licensee, the sum of £908.
And further take notice that no person (other than the above-named persons and other than a person claiming a lien as mortgagee) shall be entitled to receive the compensation or make any claim in respect of the compensation awarded unless notice in writing of such claim, stating whether compensation is claimed by him as owner or as licensee, is lodged with the Commission within six weeks of 24 March 1955, being the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette; and further take notice that any mortgagee from an owner or licensee shall, upon giving written notice to the Commission within one month after the 24th day of March 1955 aforesaid, have a lien on the amount of the compensation payable to the mortgagor for the amount of the mortgage debt, and any interest or other charges owing to the mortgagee under or in respect of the mortgage.
