Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of
the Traffic Regulations 1936

PURSUANT to clauses 22 and 26 of regulation 7 and clause
10 of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the
Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of
the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Red reflectors manufactured by Bluemel Bros. Ltd., England,
incorporating “Scotchlite” wide angle flat top reflective
material (otherwise known as “Micro-lens”) of the following
shapes and sizes:

(a) A circular reflecting surface approximately 6¼ in. in
diameter.

(b) A reflecting surface in the form of an equilateral
triangle with sides of approximately 6¼ in.

(c) A rectangular reflecting surface approximately 5¾ in.
by 2 in.

Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders in Jersey

IT is notified for general information that maintenance orders
made in New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and the Trust
Territory of Western Samoa may now be enforced in Jersey.
The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) (No. 3)
(Jersey) Act 1954, which was promulgated on the 18th day
of September 1954, declared New Zealand, the Cook Islands,
and the Trust Territory of Western Samoa to be reciprocating
countries for the purposes of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities
for Enforcement) (Jersey) Law 1953.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waikato Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to
the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
29 May 1946 and published in the Gazette 30 May 1946, page
746.

Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Manawatu Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to
the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
6 September 1938 and published in the Gazette 8 September
1938, page 2008.
