The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1955
WHEREAS by subsection (1) of section 18 of the Control of Prices Act 1947 (as substituted by section 2 of the Control of Prices Amendment Act 1953) it is provided that the Price Tribunal may from time to time publish in the Gazette a list of goods and services for the time being subject to a Price Order or to a special approval under Part II of the Control of Prices Act 1947:
And whereas it is provided in subsection (2) of the said section 18 that on the publication of any notice under the said subsection (1)—
(a) Every Price Order and special approval shall be deemed to be revoked to the extent to which it applies to any goods or services not referred to in the said list; and
(b) All goods and services not referred to in the said list shall be deemed to be exempted from Part III of the said Act:
And whereas the Price Tribunal is desirous of publishing in the Gazette, pursuant to the said subsection (1), this notice containing a list of goods and services for the time being subject to a Price Order or to a special approval under Part II of the said Act:
Now, therefore, the Price Tribunal, pursuant to the said subsection (1) of section 18 of the said Act, hereby gives notice as follows:
(1) The goods and services referred to in the list contained in the Schedule hereto are subject to a Price Order or to a special approval under Part II of the said Act.
(2) For the purposes of this notice any reference to any goods in the list contained in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to include any component, part, or accessory intended or designed for the repair or improvement of those goods.
(3) All notices exempting any goods or services referred to in the Schedule hereto from the provisions of Part III of the said Act are hereby revoked.

CHEMICALS AND CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES
Drugs and related commodities
Drugs and any other substances and mixtures of substances specially prepared for use in the treatment, prevention, investigation, or alleviation of any disease, illness, or injury.
Druggists’ sundries
Bandages.
Bottles, glass, and jars and pots, chemists’ stock.
Bottles, jars, and pots used in the packing or dispensing of drugs and for toilet preparations.
Cellulose wadding.
Cotton wool.
Diabetic outfits.
Dressings.
Gauze and gauze tissues.
Gauze, medicated and plain.
Laboratory glassware.
Lint, medicated and plain.
Plasters, adhesive, medicated, and liquid, and including corn and bunion plasters or pads.
Splint forceps (tweezers).
Test glasses, including percentage tubes.
Test tubes and stands.
Wadding.
