Declaring Land in Otago Land District Vested in the South-
land Education Board as a Site for a Public School to be
Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained
in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to
time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of
a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for
that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon
the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall
vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educa-
tional trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of
the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Education
Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her
Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educa-
tional trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date hereof.

Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 8058, being part Section 12, Block
V, Kawarau Survey District: Area, 15 acres 3 roods 23
perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 359,
fOlio 159.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 19th day of February 1955.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclama-
tion shall take effect on and after the 28th day of February
1955.
