Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not
Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928,
the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described
in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land
Act 1948 as from the 17th day of January 1955.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land:
2 acres and 7·5 perches.
Being Lots 1 to 10 (both inclusive), D.P. 41000, being the
whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 1120, folio 260, Auckland Land Registry.
Situated in the Borough of New Lynn.
Dated at Wellington this 22nd day of December 1954.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that
the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said
regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade
motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned,
but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment for the employer
described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorize him while he is under the age of eighteen years
to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
