HAURAKI CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hauraki Catchment Board Housing Loan No. 1 1953, £3,000

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Hauraki Catchment Board hereby resolves:

“1. That for the purpose of providing for the payment of the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Hauraki Catchment Board Housing Loan No. 1 1953, £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act, the said Hauraki Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourteen ten-thousands of a penny (14/10000d.) in the pound on all rateable property in the Hauraki Catchment District on the basis of the capital value; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, during a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“2. That the Board doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the payment of the said loan the annually recurring rate of fourteen ten thousandths (14/10000) of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Hauraki Catchment District, on the basis of the capital value, made and levied by the Board by resolution duly passed on 28 January 1954.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hauraki Catchment Board held on 28 January 1954.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

Notice is hereby given that PAPARATA LIMITED, has changed its name to SHERWOOD FARM, LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Worker’s Dwelling Loan 1953

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“(1) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300 authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account moneys applied by the Council in the purchase and repair of two dwelling houses, the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies, subject to the provisions of subclause (2) hereof, a special rate of decimal point five pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Eltham, comprising the whole of the Borough of Eltham; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“(2) Provided that unless specifically required by the lender, or depending on the financial requirements of the Council in any particular year, it is not the Council’s intention to strike the above-mentioned special rate but to meet the annual charges of the Worker’s Dwelling Loan 1953 from the revenues of the Council’s District Fund Account.”

The above resolution, which was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Eltham Borough Council held on Wednesday, 27 January 1954, is an amendment to a previous resolution of the said Council which was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, 15 September 1953 and published, in the New Zealand Gazette No. 54, page 1609, on 1 October 1953, and the purpose of this amendment passed on 27 January 1954 is to increase the security rate pledged in respect of the Eltham Borough Council Workers Dwelling Loan 1953 from decimal point three pence in the pound to decimal point five pence in the pound.
