ALL that area in the County of Waitemata, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Parkhurst Road, in line with the western boundary of Lot 10 on D.P. 34332, being part of Section 5, Block XIV, Kaipara Survey District, and running north-easterly along a right line at right angles to the north-eastern side of the said road for a distance of 10 chains; thence south-easterly and then easterly along right lines parallel to, and 10 chains distant from, the north-eastern side of that road and the northern side of Springs Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 34113, being part Section 2 of Block XIV aforesaid; thence southerly generally along a right line to and along that eastern boundary, and along another right line, being that boundary produced across Springs Road to the mean high-water mark forming the southern side of that road; thence westerly along that mean high-water mark to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 10, Block XIV aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of Lot 98 on D.P. 20912, being part of Section 6, Block XIV aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 98 and Lots 97, 96, 95, 94, and 93 on the said D.P. 20912, being parts of the aforesaid Section 6, and along a right line across Parakai Road to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, and 11 on the aforesaid D.P. 20912, being parts of the said Section 6, and along the north-western side of Waiwera Avenue to Parkhurst Road aforesaid; thence along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 4 on D.P. 20912 aforesaid, being part of the said Section 6, and along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Lot 4, the eastern boundaries of Lots 3 and 2 on the aforesaid D.P. 20912, being parts of the said Section 6, and a right line to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on the said D.P. 20912, being part of the aforesaid Section 6, and along the generally southern boundary of that part of the aforesaid Section 6 shown on the said D.P. 20912 as recreation reserve to its south-eastern corner; thence along a right line running due east to a point 10 chains distant from, measured at right angles to, the north-eastern side of Parkhurst Road aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along right lines parallel to and 10 chains distant from that north-eastern side to and up the left bank of the Kaipara River to and along another right line parallel to and 10 chains distant from the north-eastern side of Parkhurst Road aforesaid to another part of the left bank of the said river; thence westerly generally up that left bank to and along the northern boundaries of Lots 8 and 9 on D.P. 288, being parts of Te Pua-a-Tangihua Block, and along a right line across the Auckland-Helensville State Highway to and along the northern side of the public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 347, being part of Te Pua-a-Tangihua Block aforesaid, to a point 10 chains from, measured at right angles to, the south-western side of Parkhurst Road aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along right lines parallel to and 10 chains distant from that south-western side to and along the western boundary of part Lot 3 on D.P. 3689, being part Section 5 aforesaid, and the western boundary of Lot 10 on D.P. 34332 aforesaid, and along a right line, being that boundary produced across Parkhurst Road aforesaid, to the point of commencement, situated in the North Auckland Land District.

I, Arthur James Gordon Stevens, Chairman of the Waitemata County Council, hereby certify that the above is a correct extract from the minutes of the proceedings of a special meeting of the Waitemata County Council held in Auckland on the 25th day of January 1954.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bus Station Site Loan (No. 2) 1953, £20,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of acquisition of land for a bus-station site and development of same, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (0·250d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Lower Hutt City Council at a meeting held on the 25th day of January 1954.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the Matter of the Public Works Act 1928

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.
