A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS on the 5th day of October 1954 the General Assembly of New Zealand was summoned to a meeting on the 13th day of January 1955: And whereas for certain causes and consideration I have thought fit to prorogue it:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the New Zealand Constitution Act 1852, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby prorogue the General Assembly until Thursday, the 24th day of March 1955, and summon it to meet at 2.30 p.m. on that day in the Parliament House in the City of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of December 1954.
