Lyttelton Dunedin Imported fruit or vegetables ex-ship 110s. 4d. per ton including handling at ship’s side and sorting at Christchurch. Minimum quantity, 10 tons per consignment.
Invercargill Imported fruit or vegetables ex-ship 135s. 7d. per ton including handling at ship’s side and sorting at Christchurch. Minimum quantity, 5 tons per consignment.
Stations Christchurch, Hornby, Papanui inclusive Culverden Classes C. D. E, and E plus 50 per cent (excepting explosives, benzine, and similar oils in owner’s tank-wagons). Owner’s risk £5 10s. per four-wheeled wagon containing not more than 4 tons. Any tonnage in excess of 4 tons per four-wheeled wagon will be charged at the rate of 27s. 6d. per ton. Owners to load and unload. Minimum, five four-wheeled wagons per week. Participation in this rate is subject to the conclusion of a special agreement with the Department.
*Timaru and stations north thereof and east of Arthur Pass Stations west of Arthur Pass Pressed hay in bales, straw-chaff, and lucerne-chaff Class Q. Minimum quantity, 4 tons per four-wheeled wagon, n.o.s., and 5 tons per Lc wagon.
Dunedin Blenheim Beer or stout, bottled. Packed 120s. per ton. Minimum load, 9 tons per LA wagon and full loading for other types of wagons. Owners to load and unload.
Dunedin Invercargill Gas, oxygen, and acetylene, in cylinders 76s. 10d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 8 tons per four-wheeled wagon. Owners to load and unload.
Invercargill Christchurch Preserved milk, reduced cream, “Milo,” and “Coffee and Milk,” packed direct ex-factory 130s. per ton. Minimum quantity, 8 tons per four-wheeled wagon.
