Fixing Date on Which Certain Returns Under the Fire Services Act 1949 Are to be Furnished
P URSUANT to section 52 of the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified that the returns required by that section (as amended by the Fire Services Amendment Act 1953), showing the amount of premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31 December 1953, shall be transmitted to the Fire Service Council in the manner prescribed by the said section on or before the 28th day of February 1954.

Exemption Orders Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
P URSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Notice of Height Restriction in Vicinity of Paraparaumu Aerodrome
WHEREAS James Albert Simpson of Paraparaumu, Farmer, has accepted a certain sum of money as compensation in respect of all claims by the said James Albert Simpson in respect of limitation of the height to which buildings, poles, masts, or other structures of any kind may be erected, placed, or extended, or to which trees or shrubs may be grown or allowed to grow on the land described in the Schedule hereto on and after the 4th day of September 1951:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works, pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1935, hereby gives notice that for the purpose of making the Paraparaumu Aerodrome safe for aviation purposes he prohibits the erection or extension without his consent of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of any kind, and the growing of trees or shrubs of any kind, on any lot described in the Schedule hereto, extending above the horizontal obstruction plane at the height specified for that lot in column 4 of the table attached to the plan marked P.W.D. 141512 referred to in the said Schedule above the level of the ground at an iron tube placed at a reduced level of 85.54 ft. and marked 'Iron Tube R.L. = 85.54 ft. Initial of Levels' on the said plan, the height of each such horizontal obstruction plane above the appropriate reference peg described in column 6 of the said table being set out in column 5 of the said table.
