Declaration of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Special Loan of £42,000
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Pukekohe, taken on the 27th day of October 1954, on a proposal to raise a special loan of £42,000 to meet the balance of the cost of erecting and furnishing a War Memorial Town Hall, erecting Returned Services’ Association Rooms, and Plunket Rooms resulted as follows:

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Foxton, taken on the 3rd day of November 1954, on the proposal of the Foxton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £38,700 for the purpose of carrying out improvements to streets and providing sealed footpaths in accordance with the schedule prepared by the consulting engineer:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 66 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 176
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
