Price Order No. 1577 (Boot Repair Charges)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order :

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1577, and shall come into force on the 19th day of November 1954.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 1503* is hereby revoked.

(2) The revocation of the said Order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.

  1. In this Order—

“Sewn” means sewn by machine.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. (1) Except as provided in the next succeeding subclause this Order applies with respect to the prices that may be charged for the boot and shoe repairs specified in the Schedule hereto.

(2) Nothing in this Order shall apply with respect to repairs to soles where the sewing is done by hand or to any repairs effected with crepe rubber.

FIXING PRICES THAT MAY BE CHARGED FOR BOOT AND SHOE REPAIRS

  1. (1) The maximum that may be charged anywhere in New Zealand for boot and shoe repairs of any of the kinds specified in the Schedule hereto shall be the appropriate price specified in the said Schedule.

(2) The maximum prices fixed in the Schedule hereto apply with respect to repairs effected with plastic compounds as well as to repairs effected with leather.

(3) In respect of repairs effected with compound rubber the maximum prices fixed in the Schedule hereto shall be decreased by the sum of 1s. for soles and by the sum of 6d. for heels when the heel measurement is 2⅜ in. or more.
