Pursuant to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:
2nd Infantry Brigade
Lieutenant J. R. McIntosh, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington's Own), is appointed O.C., H.Q. Company, H.Q., 2nd Infantry Brigade, and is seconded. Dated 24 September 1954.

Territorial Force
Divisional Counter Bombardment Staff Troop, H.Q., R.A., N.Z. Division
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) G. W. Leaming is confirmed.
1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Major W. E. S. Halford, E.D., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Major. Dated 30 September 1954.
2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Captain L. G. Mitchell to be temp. Major. Dated 4 October 1954.
3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
2nd Lieutenant J. A. Kennedy to be Lieutenant. Dated 4 July 1954.

14th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
William Patrick Burke (late Flying Officer, R.N.Z.A.F. General Reserve), to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 1 December 1953. Dated 23 August 1954.

1st Armoured Regiment (Waikato), R.N.Z.A.C.
Captain (temp. Major) D. S. George, E.D., relinquishes the temporary rank of Major and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st Armoured Regiment (Waikato), R.N.Z.A.C., with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 1 May, 1951. Dated 21 October 1954.
Captain B. L. Campbell, M.B., Ch.B., R.N.Z.A.M.C., relinquishes the appointment of R.M.O., 1st Armoured Regiment (Waikato), R.N.Z.A.C., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, with the rank of Captain. Dated 30 September 1954.
