ALTERATIONS TO AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD'S
ELECTRIC LINES OR WORKS

  1. Where the construction, existence, or use of the
    electric lines hereby authorized necessitates any alteration to
    the Auckland Electric Power Board's existing electric lines
    or works and/or the erection of any new or additional electric
    lines or works on the opposite side of any street to that on
    which the Board's existing electric lines or works are situated,
    the cost of any such alteration and/or additional cost involved
    in erecting any such new or additional electric lines or works
    shall be borne by the licensee.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the transmission of electrical energy by the system
of supply hereinbefore described along certain routes in the
City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount Eden and
Mount Roskill, described as follows:

(1) Mount Roskill route:

(a) Lines for one-way traffic (in addition to the one-
way traffic lines of the Ponsonby Road route on the
opposite side of the street) commencing at a point
in Wellesley Street East adjacent to the inter-
section of Wellesley Street East with Queen Street
and proceeding easterly along Wellesley Street
East to its junction with Kitchener Street.

(b) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the junction
of Kitchener Street with Wellesley Street East and
proceeding south-easterly along Wellesley Street
East; thence southerly generally along Symonds
Street, Upper Symonds Street, Eden Terrace, New
North Road, Dominion Road, and Dominion Road
Extension to a turning circle at the intersection of
Dominion Road Extension with Richardson Road.

(c) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the inter-
section of Denbigh Avenue with Dominion Road
Extension and proceeding westerly along Denbigh
Avenue to a turning circle situated partly on the
licensee's land on the south-western corner of the
intersection of Stoddard Road and Denbigh Avenue
with May Road.

(d) Lines for one-way traffic commencing at a point on
the western side of the turning circle mentioned
in subparagraph (c) above and proceeding westerly
along Stoddard Road to a point near the western
boundary of the licensee's land.

The aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated
by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 297 deposited
in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at
Wellington.

(2) Point Chevalier route:

(a) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at a point in
Customs Street East approximately three chains
east of its intersection with Queen Street and pro-
ceeding westerly along Customs Street East and
Customs Street West to the intersection of Customs
Street West with Albert Street.

(b) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the inter-
section of Great North Road with Surrey Crescent
and proceeding westerly generally along Great
North Road to its junction with Point Chevalier
Road; thence northerly generally along Point
Chevalier Road to a turning circle adjacent to the
Recreation Reserve at the end of Point Chevalier
Road.

The aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated by
means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 298 deposited
in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at
Wellington.

(3) Three Kings Route:

(a) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at a point
in Customs Street East approximately three chains
east of its intersection with Queen Street and
proceeding easterly along Customs Street East to
Anzac Avenue; thence southerly generally along
Anzac Avenue and Lower Symonds Street to the
intersection of Lower Symonds Street with Welles-
ley Street East.

(b) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the inter-
section of Mount Eden Road with Upper Symonds
Street and proceeding southerly generally along
Mount Eden Road and Three Kings Road to a
turning circle adjacent to the junction of Three
Kings Road and Mount Albert Road.

(c) Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the junction
of Mount Albert Road and Three Kings Road and
proceeding westerly generally along Mount Albert
Road to its intersection with Dominion Road.

The aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated
by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 299
deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department
at Wellington.

Validating Proceedings in Connection With the Banks
Peninsula Electric Power Board's Loan of £15,000

At the Government House at Wellington this 3rd day of
November 1954

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board
lately proceeded by way of special order to raise a
loan of fifteen thousand pounds, to be known as Reticulation
Loan 1954 (hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said
loan were irregular or defective in that every public notice
of the resolution to make the special order authorizing the
raising of the said loan did not contain a statement to the
effect that a poll of the ratepayers was required to be taken
if 5 per cent of the ratepayers of the district so demanded
by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the
local authority before the date fixed for the confirmation of
the resolution to raise the said loan, as required by subsection
(2) of section 9 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district
have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as afore-
said, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 122 of the Local
Bodies' Loans Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in
connection with the said loan shall be valid to all intents
and purposes as though the public notices had been correctly
given, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection
with the said loan or of the security for the said loan shall
not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity
or defect aforesaid.

Varying the Determinations in Respect of the Whangarei
Borough Council's Loan of £18,000

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 27th day of
October 1954

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 21st day of
July 1954 (hereinafter called the said Order in
Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in New Zealand by the Whangarei Borough Council
(hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of
eighteen thousand pounds, to be known as Waterworks
Development Loan No. 3 1954 (hereinafter called the said
loan):
And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised, and
it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid
in respect thereof:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local
Government Loans Board Act 1926, as set out in section 29
of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby varies certain of the
determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by
prescribing that in lieu of repayment in the manner prescribed
in clause 3 of the said Order in Council the said loan or any
part thereof shall be repaid by the annual redemption of
debentures in the years set out in the first column of the
Schedule hereunder of the amounts stated opposite each such
year in the second column of the said Schedule.
