NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

IT is hereby notified that the partnership existing between George Wallbank, of Whangarei, Garage Hand, and Reginald Pellew, of Whangarei, Motor Mechanic, for the purpose of carrying on business as garage proprietors and engineers at 1 Hannah Street, Whangarei, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 22nd day of October 1954. The business will be carried on as from that date by the said George Wallbank on his own account.

GERALDINE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan (No. 2) 1954, £15,000

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand pounds (£13,000), authorized to be raised by the Geraldine Borough Council pursuant to a requisition issued by the Board of Health under section 22 of the Health Act 1920, Seal Book No. 88 dated the 4th day of December 1952, for the purpose of providing sewerage for the Borough of Geraldine, with the exception of those lands described in the First Schedule of the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, dated the 25th day of September 1952, page 1606, and a certain Order in Council made on the 15th day of July, at page 1136, the said Geraldine Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4·8d. (four and eight-tenths of a penny) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Geraldine with the exception of those lands described in the First Schedule of the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, dated the 25th day of September 1952, at page 1606; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TRANSPORT (DUNEDIN) LIMITED

MEMBERS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders of Transport (Dunedin) Limited will be held at 20 Manse Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 18th day of November 1954, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of laying before the meeting an account of the winding-up.

KAIKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments thereto, the Kaikohe Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £750, known as Water Reticulation Extension Supplementary Loan 1954, authorized to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the water-reticulation extensions under the Water Reticulation Extension Loan 1952, within the Borough of Kaikohe, the said Kaikohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth pence (1/16d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable property (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Kaikohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kaikohe Borough Council held on the 18th day of October 1954.

BOULDEN AND KIRK LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Boulden and Kirk Limited (in voluntary liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute book the above company resolved on the 11th day of October 1954, to go into voluntary liquidation and appoint John Aspinall McCulloch, Public Accountant, Main Road, Upper Hutt, liquidator for the purpose of conducting the winding up of the company.

All creditors having claims against the company are required to forward them to me not later than the 20th day of November 1954, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:—

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s. per calendar year in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of Regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscription.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
